Alec Guinness playing George Smiley in the television production of John le Carre's Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy, (1979), recently repeated on BBC Four. The sequel, Smiley's People (1982), will be rebroadcast on BBC Four from Monday, 16th April at 10-00 pm.
