W is for the World Wide Web
The web: all human life is out there, virtually speaking. The good,
the bad, and the incomprehensible. When you get stuck designing your
website, there's no better place to go than the web.
The likeihood is that somone out there (maybe hundreds or even thousands)
has experienced the same problem, and written about it, and some kind
soul has written back giving a solution.
So use your search engine and attempt to zero in on the web page that
helps you to sort out your current difficulties.
Then there are a great many websites that offer a more structured
approach to helping you through your web design hiccups.
Of course, there's web hq, WC3. An intimidating place to begin with
but persist and over time you'll begin to learn some things.
W3Schools is worth
checking out regularly, as many millions before me already know.
But also try WDG's HTMLhelp. You
might prefer their style.
A bit of historical perspective is always useful. So why not read
up on the history of the internet / web from computerhistory.org It
might help a few things to fall into place in your understanding of
things-web.
