Vincent HRD with Sidecar

I know of Vincent motorcycles from the Scottish folk singer, Dick Gaughan, who has a cover of Richard Thompson's (ex-Fairport Convention) song, 1952 Vincent Black Lightning, on his Sail On album (1996).

So I was hoping that among the thousands of bikes along the Drive I might find one.

Is this one pictured below - but with a sidecar?

Vincent HRD Co. Ltd. was an early British motorbike maker formed in 1928 when Philip Vincent bought out HRD Motorcycles, an even earlier bike maker, owned by Howard Raymond Davies. It lasted until 1955.

It is a cult bike and judging from the one below a beautiful machine.

Beautifully Preserved!
