Children must be at least 14 to participate in the Bike Ride, and up to the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
The oldest participant is a 78 year old man - who wears a trade mark bowler hat. He's been doing the ride for many years now, and has his own personalised number. This year it was 00078.
