In keeping with the playboy image of the Lamborghini this was not an event stuffed with trade stalls, such as you see at the Mini Run. Instead, there was a stage for a gig. I have to say that the act I heard, Red & Pink, a female duo, were a bit tuneless - but perhaps it was the PA system that was at fault.

In fact, the drivers of the Lamborghinis were for the most part middle-aged and greying. Youth was on the side of the many spectators who obviously enjoyed the opportunity to see so many of the cars of their dreams up close.

And the event was not entirely self-indulgent, but was also organised in aid of UNICEF

The day was topped off with a Grand Gala Dinner Dance at the Grand Hotel, where Derek Bell, fives times winner of Le Mans, was one of the honoured guests.
