Weekend-Long Trade Event |
This year's UK Coach Rally was even luckier with the weather than last year's: it was a beautiful weekend.
There also seemed to be a large turnout of coaches and companies - though I saw no seen of our local, Brighton & Hove Bus and Coach Company.
What strikes you about today's coach industry is just how international it is - though I suppose that's no different from just about anything else. I think we call it globalisation.
To name but a few coach builders, we have Marcopolo (Brazil), TEMSA (Turkey), Beulas (Spain), Van Hool (Belgium), MAN (Germany), Volvo (Swedish), Mercedes Benz (German), Plaxton (England), Scania (Sweden) VDL (Netherlands), Setra (Germany), and Optare (England).
Some companies build only chassis, others bodies, and yet other do both.
